Alongside Better South Dakota's goal of increasing early intervention when it comes to mental health and suicide awareness at a youth level, we also aim to empower students at the collegiate level with inspiration and motivation. That is why Better SD is proud to provide scholarship awards to two individual students each year to be used towards their tuition.

Though it is provided through the Better South Dakota organization, the award is specifically known as the "Emmanuel Christopher Memorial Scholarship," and is currently awarded to students enrolled at Dakota Wesleyan University, of which he was an alumnus.

The two selected recipients will each receive a $2,500 scholarship as a one time award to be used in the spring semester of their current school year.
