COUNSELING PROGRAM

At Better South Dakota, our primary objective is to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention in South Dakota. Because of this focus, we feel it is incredibly important to start from the ground up and emphasize the support for mental health at the K-12 level.

Therefore, once per year, Better South Dakota partners with one educational institution as our Counseling Program recipient, which entails a $10,000 award to the selected institution for their own counseling and therapy program needs.

The use of the award funds are at the discretion of the school, and can be used to contract in additional counselors, purchase literature/goods to aid with program needs, fund local field trips for students in their designated program, and much more.

Please see our Terms and Conditions to learn more about details on the program.

The winner of the counseling program award will be invited to our Counseling for Kids Gala, where their team will be recognized.
